Every North West 200, a very worthy charity gains support and this year’s as in 2022 is Olive Branch, who help people suffering mental health related problems.
These past three years have proven extremely tough in particular for those who suffer psychologically and it’s good to see the NW200, continuing to raise awareness.
Speaking about Olive Branch becoming the 2023 designated NW200 charity, Chairwoman Leone Paul stated:
“We are absolutely delighted to continue our association with the North West 200 for a second year.
Last year’s event was a great success, creating awareness of the help Olive Branch can provide for people facing a mental health problems and helping us raise almost £50,000 to fund the work we do.”
She continued:
“Our clients don’t need a doctor or the referral of any other organisation to come to us when they want support.
Magherafelt is a central location and our aim is to maintain our free of charge counselling service plus offer satellite counselling services in each county so we are more accessible for all.”
Mervyn Whyte added about today’s news:
“After the success of the 2022 campaign, the North West 200 is pleased to be continuing our association with Olive Branch this year.
The work the charity does is vital and we know race fans will be as generous as ever in their support.”
