By Current Oliver’s Mount Super Twins and Supersport Champion Gary McCoy is eager to contend again for more tumultuous feats at England’s sole, closed roads venue.
McCoy the top Northwest 200 newcomer of 2022, confirmed today that he will sample all Scarborough meetings in 2024, the Bob Smith Spring Cup, Cock O’The North, Barry Sheene Classic and Gold Cup.
His results resume from last year’s Scarborough competition with Mad Bros Racing, was nothing short of exemplary.
This included four race wins, third within the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup race, 17 top three finishes in total.
Carrying all the characteristics needed to be at one with the tight, twisty, iconic Scarborough course, it’s no wonder many consider him a supreme Oliver’s Mount specialist.
Although this article is North Yorkshire ‘Mini TT’ themed, it’s interesting to note as well that the TT Races could be on the horizon in the foreseeable future, for one of Irish road racing’s brightest prospects.
