Tuesday evening’s Classic Superbike practice session got underway ten minutes behind schedule, with Michael Dunlop aboard the GSX-R 750 SRAD Suzuki, KTS Racing’s Jamie Coward first down Glencrutchery Road at 6:30 PM.
21 times TT winner Dunlop closely pursued by Immingham’s Craig Neve was setting the pace across the Glen Helen, Ballaugh Bridge, Ramsey Hairpin timing points before the session was red flagged following an incident at Rhencullen.
The rider involved within the incident was Jim Barnett, who was reported to have sustained hip, ankle injuries.
Organisers went onto announce that the remainder of the Classic Superbike/Senior Manx GP combined practice session would be cancelled.
Junior Super Twin, Lightweight 250, Senior Classic practice action is still hoped to commence this evening from 7:40 PM.
