Manx GP 2022: Lightweight Race Postponed, Added To Saturday’s Schedule

Following niggly inclement weather this morning on IOM shores, Manx Grand Prix organisers have made the decision to postpone the Dunlop Lightweight race.

The 250 machinery based encounter has been added to Saturday’s proposed competition schedule and is due to commence from 12:45 PM, with a reduced two lap distance.

24 racers including practice week leader Jim Hind, Michael Dunlop, No.1 plate holder Dominic Herbertson, Laylaw Racing’s Ian Lougher and Michael Browne are set for two stroke action.

The at present race schedule for Saturday, reads as follows:

11:00 AM – Roads close
11:30 AM – Solo Warm Up lap
12:45 PM – Lightweight race – 2 Laps
2:45 PM – Junior Race – 4 Laps
5:15 PM – Senior Classic Race – 3 Laps
6:45 PM – Roads re-open
