Astute road racing aficionados spectating across the Mountain Course, will have noticed this week Adam Bauer’s distinctive pink helmet.
The prominent Pikes Pike International Hill Climb exponent, who has exceeded the 107-mph lap mark during practice week, helmet is a tribute to the much-missed Davy Morgan.
Alongside the pink livery that will forever be associated with the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix, Senior Manx winner, the Warpaint designed helmet additionally features the legs of Man, a blue bear racer and one of Davy’s favourite phrases.
Witnessing the helmet up close, you can’t but feel emotive, remembering one of Irish road racing, the TT’s most respected, admired competitors.
US ace Bauer, returning to the Manx for the first time since his event debut in 2017, is also running a DM71 tribute sticker on Robbie Silvester’s VRS Racing team’s Honda steed.
