IRRC Supersport:
Directly backed by Schleizer Dreieck, it’s fitting that local hero Thomas Walther set the Supersport pace today at Schleiz.
Thomas’s lap time of 1 minute 29.672 seconds was over a second quicker than nearest overall challenger in qualifying, Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Joey Den Besten.

Whilst the third of the prominent IRRC Supersport title challengers, Pierre Yves Bian went onto finish fourth fastest just behind Austria’s Jochen Rotter.
Fifth, sixth and seventh quickest respectively, Sebastian Frotscher, Dafit Moto Racing’s Kamil Holan and Davy Thoonen all enjoyed productive qualifying sessions.
As did Suter Moto 2 mounted Henrik Voit, who raised an eye brow or two in finishing a very creditable eighth fastest.
Finalising the overall top ten in qualifying was former champion Laurent Hoffmann and MG Powered by Freudenberg Racing’s Max Gaube.

IRRC Superbike:
Putting himself in prime position to enhance his championship lead, Sebastien Le Grelle held off the attentions of Didier Grams to wrap up IRRC Schleiz Superbike pole.
Just 0.182 separated the Herpigny Motors BMW Motorrad Belux and G&G Motorsport racers, with fellow continental European roads giant Marek Cerveny only a further 0.050 of a second further back.
Fellow countryman Petr Biciste won a close fought battle for fourth in qualifying, marginally out pacing Johan Fredriks and Markka Racing’s Erno Kostamo, seventh quickest Lukas Maurer also showed accomplished form.
Kamil Holan, Tim Van Ooijen and Timo Schonhals concluded the ten fastest qualifiers, whilst event wildcards Sascha Schoder and Max Bottcher 11th and 13th quickest respectively, both impressed.
