By Marek Cerveny resisted a charging Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil, to net IRRC Sportbike Race 1 laurels at Horice.
Rapidest off the start-line, Cerveny swiftly took control of the contest, opening after lap one’s endeavours, a leading nudging past 3.1 seconds.
This enhanced to 5.718 on lap two, narrowed slightly on lap three to 5.499, then reduced to under four seconds on lap four as three decades a TT Races competitor Dokoupil, began to find his best form.
Whilst first, second place occupancy, would remain unchanged over remaining contest laps, Cerveny ultimately P1 by under 1.6 seconds (1.585 to be exact), did not take away Super Twins/Sportbike Horice lap-record holder reigns, which went thanks to a blistering lap of 2 minutes 18.092 seconds on lap eight, to Dokoupil.
Karel Pesek accrued third, over twenty-seven seconds in arrears to Dokoupil and Cerveny.
David Datzer (Racetastic4 by Datziii#55 Road Racing – RS660 Aprilia) back at one of his all-time favourite real roads’ circuits, banked fourth after a terrific scrap with FERT Racing Team’s Martin Hrstka.
With Wally Jacobs absent, P6 finisher Jamie Williams, first in terms of full-time IRRC Sportbike participants, garnered up twenty-five juicy Championship points, to regain the IRRC Sportbike Championship lead.
