Maintaining the consistent steadfast pace, that placed him P1 across first qualifying, Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Jorn Hamberg consolidated this afternoon IRRC Hengelo Supersport qualifying spoils.
Just over 0.7 of a second off the existing Supersport lap record, prominent new wave Dutch roads talent Hamberg registered a best lap time of 1 minute 50.181 seconds.
Lead challenger to the 95-plate holder was reigning class Champion Marek Cerveny.
765 Triumph mounted this year, WRP Wepol Racing’s Cerveny (1.51.000) finished 0.819 down on Hamberg’s swift turn of speed.
Ilja Caljouw (1.52.175) finished third quickest whilst just 0.079 separated fourth, fifth fastest respectively, Petr Najman (1.53.852) and Varsselring newcomer, twice TT winner Gary Johnson (1.53.931).
Wrapping up the top ten from the second timed Supersport qualifying stint, were Romain Cleaz Savoyen, Anssi Koski, Team Schleizer Dreieck’s Sebastian Frotscher, Matthieu Pauchard and Rico Vetter.
