Zooming to a duplex of Supersport victories at Belgium’s present-day, pure road racing utopia, Circuit De Chimay, Adam McLean made it six consecutive hauls of 25 IRRC Supersport Championship points.
McLean’s latest IRRC affiliated race glory sees him narrow second place finisher Marek Cerveny’s Championship lead, to just thirteen points.
Four times class Champion Cerveny (WRP Wepol Racing Parts Triumph) finished close to fifteen seconds adrift of the rampant McLean (Performance Racing Achterhoek), who for three successive laps set new record middleweight category lap-times, the best of whom on lap four, 1 minute 41.354 seconds.
BeNeLux (Belgium-Netherlands-Luxembourg) Supersport Race Two capturer Ilja Caljouw (Performance Racing Achterhoek) checked into third place whilst Gary Johnson’s (Team Schleizer Dreieck) encouraging upturn in form continues, finishing fourth.
Mauro Poncini obtained fifth with race pole-sitter Petr Najman, dropping to sixth.
Individually wrapping up the top ten occupants were Thomas Wendel, Rico Vetter, Jamie Williams and Eddy Ferre.
