By Adam McLean’s IRRC Supersport Championship momentum continued at a bright sunny graced Circuit De Chimay, with the Tobermore rider scampering to Supersport race one ascendancy.
Aboard the Performance Racing Achterhoek YZF R6 Yamaha, McLean, victorious earlier this month at Imatranajo, was in equally kingly form this morning, securing a fifth successive haul of 25 Championship points.
Marek Cerveny second, plus ten seconds down on 2022 Steve Henshaw Gold Cup conqueror McLean, Championship lead is now clipped back to 18 points.
Ilja Caljouw fought off the attentions of BeNeLux Trophy Supersport race 1 second place finisher Gary Johnson, for P3.
Mauro Poncini strongly vying throughout for the podium, eventually finished fifth.
Thomas Wendel, Romain Cleaz Savoyen sewed up sixth, seventh as Jamie Williams, assigned No.3 for this year’s Senior Manx Grand Prix, Optimark Road Racing’s Eddy Ferre, Rico Vetter accomplished placings eighth-tenth.
