Inaugural San Javier Hill Climb Synopsis

Organised by San Pedro Martir Hill Climb, Baja International Tourist Cup organisers Baja Tarmac Racing, last weekend the inaugural San Javier Hill Climb broke cover.

Thirteen racers took part, taking on a 20 kilometres long time-trial held in Loreto, Baja California Sur in Mexico.

After a day of acclimatisation for competitors, race action got underway on Sunday (6th of April), flagged off by the Mayor of Loreto.

Leading middleweight category pilot, a rider titled within the final, results sheet as Tank To Chest, finished the first overall San Javier Hill Climb winner, thanks to a best time of 10 minutes 16 seconds.

Second fastest, ten seconds in arrears to the outright event Champion was heavyweight class P1 occupier, Multistrada Ducati propelled John Magnusson (10 minutes 26 seconds).

Lightweight class victor Eric Foutch (10 minutes 41 seconds) rounded out the top three finishers.

Finishers fourth to thirteenth, were as follows:

5th – Burnzi Innes – 11 minutes 20 seconds
6th – Kevin Farrell – 11 minutes 28 seconds
7th – Josh Nelson – 11 minutes 29 seconds
8th – Pulak Datt – 11 minutes 41 seconds
9th – Richard Cole – 11 minutes 55 seconds
10th – Andrew Gawer – 12 minutes

11th – Luigi Bedartes – 12 minutes 03 seconds
12th – Bridgette Leber – 13 minutes 16 seconds
13th – Jimmi Heyder – 13 minutes 46 seconds
