Beverley’s Daryl Gibson has confirmed that his latest TT adventure, will see him join forces with legendary three wheeling prowess in the form of 17 times TT Champion Dave Molyneux.
For passenger Gibson who is also known for his driving abilities, the opportunity to compete alongside such an esteemed real roads name like Molyneux, represents a major step forward in his career at the world’s most acclaimed pure road race.
Joint quickest Mountain Course newcomer of 2017 alongside father Gary Gibson, his present TT CV includes four top fifteen finishes three of whom were top ten placings, including a personal best run to eighth in the opening Sidecars encounter of TT 2018.
Driver Molyneux meanwhile boasts a quite remarkable TT record, 17 victories, 30 rostrum finishes in total, 33 top six finishes and victories across four different decades.
The cross generation Molyneux/Gibson pairing recently opened race proceedings for 2022 at Brands Hatch, sampling the season opening BMCRC-MRO Championships event.
Non finishers from the opening F1/F2 Sidecars race stint, following races completed aboard the 890cc KTM powered DMR outfit, which features support from Carl Cox Motorsport & Kel Properties yielded fourth, second place finishes.
With just over two months to go till the TT Races returns, the preparation process is stepping up a notch for those set to compete and it’s no different for Molyneux/Gibson.
KTM power in the winners enclosure at TT 2022? Don’t discount the Manx/Anglo pairing as take on top draw opposition like the Birchall brothers Ben & Tom, Tim Reeves, John Holden/Jason Pitt, Alan Founds/Jake Lowther, Pete Founds and the Crowe’s Ryan & Callum.
