France’s only Manx Grand Prix newcomer of 2024, is a name not perhaps well known to roads scene fans, Kerlaz, Brittany based Etienne Huon De Penanster.
A self-confessed two-stroke addict, the past two seasons have seen him focus solely on 250cc action, taking in selected purpose-built meets, dabbling with pure road racing.
IPC (International Post Classic) 250 winner at Circuit De Chimay, De Penanster in 2023 also made an extremely promising Frohburger Dreieck debut, scoring a top four finish.
For his prospective first Manx GP stint, it’s not a surprise his machine of choice, an RS 250 Honda (1993 specification) for the Lightweight category.
Planning to race under the YEHP team banner, competing on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course is as for countless, thousands of racers, a long-held ambition for De Penanster and one he aims to fully make the most of.
