Cadwell Park is one of those bike racing venues, you can just sense in your mind, its sights, sounds, smells (bacon sandwiches, two-strokes!), atmosphere.

This week, the Cadwell Moto event, marks the 90th Anniversary of when racing first embellished itself upon arguably the most popular, loved round of the British Superbike Championship.

On route this morning to Lincolnshire’s ‘Mini Nurburgring’, the weather was misty, foggy, Steve Henshaw Gold Cup weather take two!

As the day went on though, the sun broke through and serene conditions greeted those taking part in parade laps.

Mark ‘The Captain’ Phillips, 2016 Senior Manx GP winner Tom Weeden, Ian Popplewell bringing with him an ex-Jean Philippe Ruggia RS 250 Honda, Virgin Mobile Yamaha machinery, previously piloted by the ‘Flying Haggis’, the legendary Steve Hislop.

1995 Macau Grand Prix conqueror Mike ‘Spike’ Edwards, Phil Usher, 1986 Senior TT winner Roger Burnett, 1987 Scarborough Gold Cup winner, eleven times British Champion Roger Marshall.

BSB title contender Kyle Ryde additionally took in laps aboard a WCM (World Championship Motorsports) ROC YZR 500 Yamaha.
