19 times TT winner Michael Dunlop is set to return to British Supersport competition this weekend, as he joins forces with the PTR run Dynavolt Triumph team.
With regular team rider Brandon Paasch ruled out of action, having sustained a scaphoid injury at Snetterton, this has paved the way for Dunlop to pilot a factory supported 765 Triple Triumph.
No stranger to Simon Buckmaster’s PTR (Performance Technical Racing) outfit, whom he enjoyed tremendous TT success with in 2013, the Ballymoney roads great is hugely looking forward to the opportunity ahead.
Speaking via Dynavolt Triumph’s official website, he stated:
“Really good news to be riding the Dynavolt Triumph at Silverstone. I’ve been watching the bike as it’s progressed this year and the team seem to have done a great job.
As a lot of people know I’ve had success with PTR and it will be great to be working with Simon and the boys again.
It’s a good opportunity, I’m looking forward to it. Let’s see what we can do, it will be great to see everyone there.”
