After yesterday’s lap record exceeding pace by David Datzer, anticipation increased ten-fold ahead of this afternoon’s blue riband Superbike encounter at Dymokury.
Post opening laps, it quickly became a race for P1 between MTP Racing’s Datzer and Michal Prasek.
On lap three, Czech TT Superbike races one & two victor Datzer, moved almost 0.9 clear of Prasek, thanks to a stunning new, official lap record of 59.460 seconds! You don’t get this level of thrills in Formula 1 or Moto GP!
From here, Germany’s top solo TT racer didn’t look back, showing relentless speed, banking six lap times below the one-minute barrier.
Registering an overall race time, just past 16 minutes, Datzer ended the 16-lap race with a 7.311 winning margin over Prasek, who also lapped sub one minute.
YZF R1 Yamaha mounted Dan Vyslouzil joined Datzer, previous outright lap record holder Prasek on the SBK race podium.
Slovakian ace Tomas Toth attained fourth with placings fifth-tenth going to Lubos Konak, Jiri Petrla, Leos Hlavacek, Jiri Pilar, Jakub Sprojcar and David Hanzalik.
Outside the first ten finishers, remaining riders to finish were Austria’s Thomas Altendorfer (11th), Petr Vajner ML (12th), Rob Eijs (13th), Bohdan Schaal (14th), Ladislav Vojtko (15th).
