Davo Show In Phillip Island SBK Masters Races

Adelaide ace David Johnson, pre–Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix prep, gained added momentum over recent days, with the former SBK Classic TT winner strongly to the fore in Superbike Masters, Australian Moto GP support contests at Phillip Island.

‘Davo’, fifth, top Kawasaki pilot in June’s Superbike TT, topped qualifying, bagged race victories x2, post astute, composed displays astride the Carl Cox Motorsport/TT Motorcycles supported GSXR 1100 Suzuki.

Respective lead pursuers behind the 2019 Superstock TT podium finisher, finishing both completed races, in-excess of 0.930 adrift were Scott Campbell and Joshua Mathers.

Top twenty-five Manx Grand Prix finisher Anthony ‘Kev’ Stephens (P9-P8) was also competing.

Poised to race alongside Erno Kostamo, in the Racing for Inclusion by RVS team at Macau, 131 Mph TT Club member Johnson heads to the Guia Circuit, famously dubbed by Martin Jessopp, as a ‘short circuit with walls’ with subtle confidence, of swooping a satisfactory result.
