Longshot Racing’s Davey Todd will make his 1000cc race debut, at the MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix, piloting a brand new YZF R1M Yamaha, which has been supplied by Mike Parker Yamaha.
A recent revelation on the Irish roads, Davey has vastly impressed with his performances on his debut’s at Skerries, Walderstown, Oliver’s Mount and Armoy.
Hugely looking forward to taking on the famous roads of Dundrod, the former British Superstock 600 Championship race winners progress at the world’s fastest road race, will be monitored closely by many.
Credit has to be given to Longshot Racing, Team Manager Harry Corbett, for giving the North Yorkshireman the opportunity to try his hand at real roads competition.
What a decision it’s proved already for both team and rider, with podium finishes at Armoy, top five finishes at Skerries and mixing it with established Scarborough specialists, at the Barry Sheene Road Race Festival Powered by Suzuki.
Alongside the Ulster GP, the growing in stature rider/team combo is also set to take in next month, the newly formed East Coast Racing Festival and the blue riband Oliver’s Mount meeting, the Scarborough Gold Cup.
