First and foremost I send my deepest sympathy to Dan’s partner Leanne, his family and friends.
Dan Kneen was Extremely personable, affable, easy going he was a dream for journalists.
Extremely naturally talented, he will go down as unquestionably one of the Isle of Man’s greatest ever road racers.
At a glance in terms of Mountain Course competition, his CV includes, on his Mountain Course debut in 2008 at the Manx Grand Prix securing a hat trick of victories.

TT wise, he is a member of the 130 mph club, a rostrum finisher in last years Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock race and unofficially the fastest Manx solo TT racer in history.
Additionally on home soil Dan recorded a vast amount of rostrum finishes at the Southern 100, including finishing runner-up in one of the greatest races to ever grace Billown, the thrilling solo championship encounter of 2017.
His vastly decorated roads CV also includes race wins at the Cookstown, Tandragee, Faugheen, Skerries, Imatranajo, top three finishes at Oliver’s Mount plus a memorable Superstock race success within the Ulster Grand Prix of 2014.
Hugely respected by his fellow competitors, road racing has lost one of the good guys.
RIP Dan, you’ll be forever missed.
