Czech TT 2024: Stats/Facts Edition 1

* It’s 10 years since first visit of IRRC Championship to Horice in 2014.

* David Datzer, Petr Najman took pole-position, two wins, fifty IRRC Championship points, new outright lap records and went into double figures, Horice wins wise – 10 victories.

* Like in World Superbikes which has Toprak, Horice has top ‘Datzii’ (David Datzer), 9 consecutive wins in Superbike races, since IRRC SBK race 2 in 2021 plus one-win Supermono success from 2023.

* The BMW motorcycle brand holds the overall lap record at Horice, for the past eleven years since 2013, via racers Pearson (Michael), Grams (Didier), Cerveny (Marek), Webb (Danny) and Datzer (David).

* Second quickest in qualifying, two times second in Superbike races, Erno Kostamo is the new second fastest Horice exponent in history, second rider to go sub 2 minutes 13 seconds.

* 64 riders in history have now personal best Horice lap times under the magic value of 2:20 – 8 new names in this list after weekend (Geenen – Come, McLean – Adam, Hardisty – Rhys, Johnson – Gary, Koski – Anssi, Sykora – Ales, Poncini – Mauro, Grundei – Rene).

* Two-thirds of 45 fastest riders during the Sunday races recorded their personal best lap time.

*Eight different countries were represented from the top 10 fastest racers of the weekend, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, Sweden.

* Come Geenen (2.14.085) is new fastest newcomer to Horice (before weekend it was Senior TT winner Davey Todd 2.15.084 from 2019), also new fastest Belgian exponent and overall 5th fastest rider in Horice history.

* Adam McLean is now overall fourth fastest Supersport rider in history and fourth fastest newcomer as quickest Supersport jockey (before weekend it was Amalric Blanc 2.19.589 from 2021). Overall winner this year of Landshaag Hill Climb races, Austrian Thomas Altenhuber is 21st quickest debutant in Horice history.

* Performance Racing Achterhoek’s McLean (2.16.220) is additionally new fastest Northern Irish rider, quicker than former overall lap record holder Michael Pearson (2.17.445 in 2013).

* Czech road racing legend Marek Cerveny improves his Horice podium finishes account to a record 38. Did not finish Supersport Race 2, because of technical problem. Near Cerveny’s rostrums tally, Kamil Holan (31 – top three finishes), did not start in Sunday races due hand pain from his crash in May at Horice although he competed during Saturday, qualified for the IRRC Superbike races.
