Chimay Open Trophy 2026: Never Be Clever Racing Back On Top With De Haan

Uncorking IRRC race winners club membership, Kevin De Haan gave suitors, 2025 IRRC Superbike Champions Never Be Clever Racing, their first IRRC triumph of 2026, via success in a wet weather afflicted second Supersport contest at Circuit de Chimay.

Next gen European roads talent De Haan, once passing lap one leader, lead chaser, Matej Vit, sped clear.

Such was De Haan’s consistency, turn of speed, he finished with a huge race winning margin of 11.575 seconds.

Petr Najman bested IRRC history maker Marek Cerveny for third behind Vit whilst Gary Johnson (P5) edged Jamie Williams (P6) for top UK/Isle of Man racer honours.

Prospective Manx Grand Prix newcomer, Mauro Poncini bagged another solid result, placing seventh. Performance Racing Achterhoek team-mate Wesley Ankersmid followed in eighth.
