Revealed last night, Michael Browne, ten times TT winner Ian Lougher will spearhead the Danfay Yamaha backed Laycock Racing 2024 Manx Grand Prix project.
2022 Irish Road Race Supersport Champion, twice Super Twins TT rostrum finisher Browne hunting a third consecutive Lightweight class win, Welsh roads legend Lougher will both be astride white, red liveried TZ 250 Yamaha’s.
Ran by multiple TT victor Eddie Laycock, the Laycock Racing outfit is effectively a continuation of the LayLaw Racing squad.
The main difference now is that Gerry Lawlor, LayLaw Racing team owner, as reported earlier this year is taking a back step from Mountain Course competition, hence the team-name change with Irish racing great Laycock now firmly at the helm, starting his own team.
One-two in last years’ Sure Lightweight encounter, Browne, Lougher are certain to give the newly formed Laycock Racing outfit, an above average chance of success this August.
Quick reminder to those not already aware, the 2024 Manx Grand Prix runs from the 18th-26th of August.
