Amidst a backdrop of resplendent sunny weather, the opening Super Twins qualifying stint rounded out Wednesday’s NW200 action.
Veteran racer Jeremy McWilliams aboard the Bayview Hotel Paton was quickest out the blocks, thanks to lapping at 5 minutes 02.185 seconds.
Before we entered the nitty, gritty of the session, Super Twins Q1 was unfortunately red flagged due to an incident occurring at Mill Road Roundabout.
At the time qualifying was red flagged, the ten speediest Twin exponents were McWilliams, JMcC Roofing Racing’s Adam McLean, Michael Sweeney, Christian Elkin, Swan supported Peter Hickman.
Barry Graham, Michael Rutter, Bob Smith Spring Cup runner-up Gary McCoy, Michael Browne, and Cowton Racing’s Gareth Arnold.
The session would not be re-started (roads re-opening at 3:00 PM) meaning provisional pole for 99 plate holder, ex Moto GP, BSB participant McWilliams ahead of 2022 Steve Henshaw Gold Cup winner McLean and top Aprilia runner Sweeney.
