The real road racing community in 2025, is set to have a significant new member, following the news of National Superstock 1000 race winner Franco Bourne’s deal with Cowton Racing.
Bourne the 2020 Honda British Talent Cup Champion, opening roads salvo piloting Super Twin, Supersport apparatus will arise at Irish road racing’s longest running meeting, the Cookstown 100 (25th-26th April).
Post tackling the fabled Orritor Circuit, the Honda Racing, Rapid Honda rider of 2023, 2024 seasons, next roads appearance is due to be at North Yorkshire’s ‘Mini TT’, Oliver’s Mount (Cock O’The North – 21st-22nd June).
Competition at Tandragee, the Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ and Barry Sheene Festival, Steve Henshaw Gold Cup events at Scarborough are also pencilled in.
With regards prospective circulations around the other worldly TT Races, Manx Grand Prix home, the Mountain Course, Cowton Racing stated the following via Facebook:
“We would just like to clarify that the Isle of Man TT and Manx GP is an ambition of Franco’s however he will not be competing on the Isle of Man this year and we respect his decision 100%.”
