Belgian Twin Trophy (BTT) organisers Jacques Borremans and Herman Verboven (amongst active racers in featured article image) separate road race challenge ranking initiative of recent years, which increased last season into the newly titled European Super Twin – Road Race Challenge (EST-RRC), looked to have hit a crossroads this year.
This was partly due to the new for 2026, IRRC Sportbike class and the subsequent lack of space in competition schedules at events including Horice.
Fortunately for road racing fans, the BTT scene graces this year selected roads courses, running alongside IRRC/ESR races at Hengelo and twice at Circuit De Chimay. Previously mentioned Horice, Frohburger Dreieck for this season are not holding series rounds.
Overall BTT rankings will-be-awarded in combination with circuit races. This means that EST-RRC Champion of last year, double 2025 Manx Grand Prix victor Jamie Williams, will-not be-deposed as series title holder.
Added TT/Manx Grand Prix experienced 2025 EST-RRC exponents, were Michal ´Indi´ Dokoupil, Dan Ingham, Francesco Curinga, Stefan Holz, Mike Mace and Miroslav ´Laki´ Sloboda.
Continuing with this theme into 2026, overall, 2024 Belgian Twin Trophy Road Race Challenge winner, German rider Lorenz Rotharmel, plans to make this August, his Manx Grand Prix debut.
