BE/RK Racing, Lightweight Manx GP Winner Browne Part Company

In an intriguing turn of events, the Burrows Engineering/Richardson Kelly Racing team have amicably parted company with back-to-back Lightweight Manx Grand Prix winner, the Republic of Ireland’s fastest TT pilot Michael Browne.

Early last month, it was announced that parties would be working together again in 2024 with 2022 Irish Road Race Moto 3, Supersport Champion Browne next season, back astride ex TAS Racing M1000RR BMW machinery.

A statement issued this morning via the Burrows Engineering/RK Racing page, reads as follows:

“After agreeing a deal for 2024, upon reflection we have decided that it is in both of our interests to end our partnership.

We brought Mike from a relatively unknown rider in Irish Road Racing to a Superbike winner and podium finisher at the Isle of Man TT, this shows our calibre as a team and Mike’s as a rider.

We are grateful for Mike’s efforts when riding with us and wish him well with his future venture.

Mike’s departure obviously marks the start of an exciting new opportunity for Burrows Engineering / RK Racing and our 2024 plans will be announced in due course.”
