Road Racing News Barry Sheene Classic preview series, focuses today upon the always entertaining Supersport class.

Already eleven times a race winner at Oliver’s Mount, SMT Racing’s Rob Hodson is a most definite race winning contender this week.

All set to be aboard the Bob Smith Spring Cup podium finishing R6 Yamaha, the ‘130 Mph Club’ member is fresh from solid results at this year’s, history making TT Races.

Mad Bros Racing’s Gary McCoy should also be a prime factor in the BDS Motorcycles Supersport races.

Likely top Suzuki pilot, McCoy is firmly established amongst the higher echelon of Oliver’s Mount exponents.

Others expected to feature near the forefront of the seven-lap race Supersport encounters include Joe Yeardsley (Spin Arena), Mike Norbury and top fifteen TT finisher recently, Tom Weeden (Club 77).

Added next gen roads scene exponents, keen to strengthen their racing CV’s this week include Jacque Foley, Toby Shann (JW Trackdays/Addplant), Jamie Ingham, (B) group front runners, during the Spring Cup, Johnny Stewart, David McArthur.

Joey Lambden, John Marsh (MKM Building Supplies Burnley), Aran Sadler, Sam Johnson, Don Gilbert, FB Racing’s Dan Forbes.

Further depth to the almost forty strong field is provided by seasoned Scarborough pilots including Kevin Barsby, Adrian Harrison (Brook Built Racing), Stephen ‘Degsy’ Degnan, Jack Sim.

Russell Brook, Justin Collins, Paul Marley, Greg Haylott, Martin Robbins, Colin ‘Crofty’ Croft.

Solo riders representative Roddy Taylor (J Borthwick Haulage) also competes with his sweet sounding MV Agusta.
