Armoy Latest: Thompson Gains TH Racing Chance

Joey Thompson’s latest Irish road racing tilt at Armoy, will see him join forces with the newly formed TH (Trevor Harbinson) Racing team.

Bob Smith Spring Cup winner at Scarborough in April, “Yorkshire” went onto have a productive TT 2023 voyage, acquiring 16th, 15th place finishes from the Monster Energy Supersport races.

Oliver’s Mount bound for next weekend’s Barry Sheene Classic the North West 200 rostrum finisher, is looking forward to venturing back to Armoy.

Commenting about this via TH Racing’s Facebook page, he stated:

“It’s awesome that TH Racing has given me this opportunity to come over to NI and race at one of my favourite road races.

I love Northern Ireland and the atmosphere at the event is great. I am still fully focused on the Seventy-Four Racing at other events this year, and I would like to thank my dad and our sponsors for helping to make this possible.

A huge thanks to Trev and all the boys & girls at TH Racing and I can’t wait to have some fun on their great Honda Supersport machine.”

Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ suitors TH Racing, added:

“We are equally delighted to have Joey with us at Armoy. Joey is a very talented rider and we believe that with the machine and the Metzeler tyres link, he will have the confidence back to be competitive.

We are looking forward to a fun weekend, with no pressure on him. We all want to go racing, have fun, enjoy the meeting and finish races. Anything else will be a bonus.”
