Armoy 2024: BE/RK Racing End Irish Roads Season On High Note

Burrows Engineering Racing/Richardson Kelly Racing ended the 2024 Irish road racing season (amazing to report this in July), on a high note with Dominic Herbertson delivering a series of competent, accomplished performances at Armoy.

Herbertson, winner of four races at April’s Cookstown 100, resoundingly won the 125/Moto 3 race, finishing 12.338 seconds ahead of lead chaser, popular German rider Chris Meyer.

Four-stroke races wise, the Chasin The Racin podcast host mopped up a quadruple of top five finishes.

The big-one, the prestige race, the ‘Race of Legends’ saw Dom ‘The Bomb’ nearing the 106-mph lap-mark, finish a deserved P3, joining Davey Todd, Phil Crowe on the rostrum.

Speaking post-race, BE/RK Racing Team Principal John Burrows, stated:

“It’s been a good weekend for the team here at Armoy. The club put on a great event every year and this year they got their weather on the Saturday, and they showed how well they can run a race with it all being finished up at half 3.

It’s nice to come away from the last road race of the year with a few podiums obviously including a good win on the Moto 3. Dom rode a great race in the Race of Legends at the end of the event; he consistently pulled away from 4th place and maintained a very strong 3rd place in a quality field.

It’s always nice to get a podium in the big race at the end of the day. Thanks to all our sponsors and team partners for helping to keep this show on the road in 2024.”
