First Two-Time Series Winner Burrell Toasts F900R BMW Cup

Eighty sixth quickest TT competitor in history, Halliwell Jones supported Barry Burrell, made F900R BMW Cup (ROKiT OFF title sponsored) history last weekend, becoming the first two-time, consecutive series winner.

After Brands Hatch (Grand Prix circuit configuration) action, Burrell gained the points he needed to secure Championship victory by nineteen points over GP Titan Tech by Bathams Kieran Smith.

Praising the series, previously won by seven times Northwest 200 winner Richard Cooper (2023 Champion), Burrell one of twenty-one bronze-replica finishers from this year’s Milwaukee Senior TT, stated:

“The ROKiT OFF F 900 R Cup is a cost-effective championship and a great way to get your face out there.

If people come in and do well, they really stand out, because you’re often racing against some big names like Davey (Todd) – last year also saw Kyle Ryde and Storm Stacey wildcard in the series.

It’s very accessible too – a lot of the times I go by myself, I don’t need anyone else to support me, whereas in other championships you’d need four or five people.”

He went onto add:

“Parts support for the series is also a real bonus, thanks to the provision of a stocked truck at every round, reducing the need to stock or transport your own, or being short of that crucial part.

And thanks to the nature of a one-make series, you can be at the front without having to fettle the bike too much, it’s very simple to set up, with a click or two here and there between circuits.

The policing of the championship is also brilliant. You’ll always have people pushing the boundaries, but they try to keep it as fair and as level a playing field as possible.”
