An unofficial 131 mph lap this afternoon after a ‘Parade’ lap aboard John McGuinness MBE’s TT 2026 steed, topped off a memorable year of Mountain Course action for Honda Racing UK’s Dean Harrison.

Before early retirements from Historic Junior, Historic Senior Classic TT encounters, Harrison post opening qualifying competition, issued enthusiasm about Craven Classic Racing-Ted Woof CB350 K4 Honda, Manx Norton equipment.

“Honestly absolutely spot on, no problems so far, just keep riding around enjoying ourselves, little Manx Norton’s going well, handling-well and the little 350 seems ok.”

When asked whether anything is comparable about his Classic TT machines array and full-time British Supersport Honda berth, the fastest racer of the past two TT’s said:

“There is no comparison, a lot different in every single way, tyres, brakes, suspension, everything is so different, so it makes you realise how far we’ve come.”

80th Anniversary Scarborough Gold Cup bound, Harrison 112 times a race winner at Oliver’s Mount reiterated he would be astride works Honda machinery.

“I’m on the factory Honda there, so we’ll see how we get on.”
