Capturing today’s main prize, the Richard King Haulage Grand Final, Michael Dunlop MBE’s triumphant Mid Antrim 150 return finalised in perfect fashion.

Chased valiantly by Ryan Whitehall through opening laps, Dunlop MBE (MD Racing – BMW) moved nigh on 2.64 clear at lap three’s conclusion.

On rallying duty tomorrow, the TT wins record holder’s lead, expanded by almost thirteen seconds within the following lap, with Kevin Keyes up to second after problems for Ulster Road Race Classic Supersport Champion Whitehall.

Remaining laps saw now 144 times Irish road race winner Dunlop MBE stylishly preserve first, maintain a quality turn of pace which turned into record breaking pace on the eighth and final lap, setting a new outright lap record (1.50.159 seconds).

Second, 27.813 adrift was Daracore Racing’s Keyes whilst Isle of Wight ace Whitehall, re-grouped, passed Joe Loughlin (McKnight Racing – BMW) to place P3.

Super Twins race winner Neil Kernohan occupied fifth, TT Privateers Champion Barry Furber banked sixth with final race finishers Richard McLoughlin, the evergreen Paul Cranston, Paul Fallon, seventh, eighth, ninth respectively.
