2026 Cock O’The North: Hickman Wins Enthralling Feature Race

TT Races lap-record holder Peter Hickman followed Richard Cooper, in clinching on debut at Oliver’s Mount, a feature race success, winning an enthralling HMH Civils Cock O’The North encounter.

Race on race, increasing in confidence around North Yorkshire’s ‘Nurburgring’, the fourteen times TT winner, hit the front on the penultimate lap of the race, becoming the third different race leader after Rob Hodson, Joey Thompson both held the P1 initiative.

Once he was into the lead, Swan Racing by PHR Performance Triumph pilot Hickman, pulled away, finishing the eight-lap race, 1.252 ahead of gracious runner-up, TH Racing’s Thompson with race pole-sitter Tom Weeden concluding the rostrum finishers.

Lap one, lap two leader, topping Ducati’s challenge, Rob Hodson ended fourth, 0.347 adrift of Weeden.

Scotsman Johnny Stewart, lapping for the first time in the low 1.48 seconds range, was fifth with Dan Frear (sixth), Cowton Racing’s Bailey Harker (seventh), Stock SSP category winner Aarron Cooke (eighth), Fred McMullan (ninth), Daniel Pearson (tenth), wrapping up the leader-board top ten.

The only non-finisher was John Marsh whilst finishers eleventh to eighteenth were Scott Aitkin (eleventh), Jack Worth (twelfth), Aiden Goodings (thirteenth), Ryan Dixon astride Super Twins machinery (fourteenth).

Curtis Milburn (fifteenth), Christian Slater (sixteenth), Whitby’s Kristian Didelot (seventeenth) and Jack Crowley Mason (eighteenth).
