Quickly post Dan Sayle, securing consecutive JCK Supersport (B) race wins, the stage was set for S&S Motors Supersport competition.
In temperatures topping 22 degrees, Michael Browne (Boyce Precision Engineering/Russell Racing – Yamaha) kept cool to attain successive Southern 100, SSP victories.
Chased hard by Dominic Herbertson (KTS Macadam Triumph Factory Racing) and Paul Jordan (Jackson Racing Powered by Prosper2 – Ducati) through laps one to four, new dad Browne opened a decisive advantage on lap five, registering the contest’s No.1 lap time (2.17.473, shade outside Michael Dunlop MBE’s race lap-record), moving the race lead out to past 1.9 seconds.
The 2025 Armoy ‘Race of Legends’, Steve Henshaw Gold Cup winner, ultimately finished P1 by 2.997, with pole-sitter Jordan, newly engaged Herbertson, second, third.
Nathan Harrison (H&H Motorcycles – Honda) was fourth, Joe Yeardsley (SpinArena.net – Suzuki) worked his way past Peter Hickman (Swan Racing/PHR Performance – Triumph) on the seventh, last lap, to place fifth.
Those obtaining concluding top 10 leader-board positions were Rob Hodson (seventh), the impressive Eddy Wormald (eighth), TT Privateers Champion Barry Furber (ninth) and Dafabet Racing’s Michael Evans (tenth).
