Dolny Hricov – Zilina Airport Race, Slovakia, Sunday race results compendium, illustrating the-majority of same race winners as on Saturday with class triumphs x2 for the following:
IRRC Supersport Championship leader Marek Cerveny (Super Twins Race Two winner), top five finisher last year from IRRC Superbike races at Frohburg, Michal ‘Prasule’ Prasek (Superbike R2 winner ahead of Tomas Borovka and Nico Muller).
Jan Huk (Supermono), Moritz Nestler (Moto3/GP 125), Boris Korcak (Supersport 400) and Ales Malina (Supersport 300).
The only changes in terms of modern category winners, in comparison to the previous day’s action was German ace Wolfgang ‘Wolfi’ Schuster attaining Supersport R2 laurels (SSP R1 winner Marek Cerveny, non-finisher, retired from first after the third lap) and Pavol Michalkovic beating to 125 Sport Production Race Two glory, Saturday’s race victor, Horice citizen Marek Zima.
Next, upcoming Slovak airport event for roads scene riders, will be at Trencin (28th-30th August), which is organised, same as Dolny Hricov by Milos Balaz, son of Slovak racing legend Peter Balaz.
Whilst on the topic of road racing in Slovakia, we’d be remiss not to mention this nation’s only active pure roads event, the Kopcany Road Races (25th-26th July), organised by current racers, brothers David Hanzalik and Milan Hanzalik.
