Last year, Open, Grand Final winner Dunlop MBE lapped the 5.3 miles in distance T100 course, at 111.584 mph (2 minutes 52.403 seconds), the first 111 mph lap in the event’s history.
Presently on 130 Irish road race victories, he stands only five wins behind his dad Robert Dunlop within the all-time Irish road race winners list.
More success pending soon? Few would be surprised if he ends this year’s T100 unbeaten.
At the same time, the opposition including Michael Sweeney, Michael Browne, Shaun Anderson, Conor Cummins, Marcus Simpson, is determined to prove a point and make sure he won’t have it all his own way.
Dunlop MBE’s name on the start-list, only increases the anticipation for upcoming Tandragee 100 thrills, launching into fruition on Friday.
A planned twelve-race itinerary features 1000cc, Supersport, Super Twin/Super Mono, yesteryear classic, Senior Support, Junior Support, Classic Superbike, Moto 3, Lightweight Supersport encounters.
