Groundbreaking landmark, remarkable achievement, two ways to describe Marek Cerveny becoming the most winning rider in IRRC history, surpassing Didier Grams thirty-eight wins accumulation.

New IRRC SSP Championship leader Cerveny (WRP Wepol Racing – Triumph), claimed in style his 39th IRRC victory at Chimay, controlling the nine-lap Supersport race opener, winning by 3.21 seconds.

Behind him, the battle for P2 raged with an entertaining four-racer scrap.

As contest action ended, in second place was Petr Najman, pursued closely by an inspired Ilja Caljouw (TT newcomer in 2022), who set the fastest lap of the race on lap eight (1.41.426).

Twice TT winner ‘AKA Driver’ Gary Johnson, on course throughout for the podium, finished fourth with Caljouw’s Performance Racing Achterhoek team-mate Mauro Poncini fifth, only 0.299 further back.

Matej Vit occupied sixth, Kevin De Haan took seventh with Wesley Ankersmid, Sportbike Race 1 winner Jamie Williams, Rico Vetter capturing eighth to tenth place results.
