Scottish Championship Round 1, Knockhill: Roads Competitor Watch

Those of a certain opinion would say BSB host venue Knockhill, is not the ideal proving ground, for solo, three-wheeling racers ahead of national, international roads action.

None the less, the opening 2026 Scottish Championship, KMSC (Knockhill Motor Sports Club) races were not short of pure road racing aces.

2014 Newcomers Manx GP top four finisher Leon Murphy, Kris Duncan, Sean McTaggart and fans favourite, works Triumph rider, KTS Racing’s Dominic Herbertson, who hauled second place results from Supersport race bursts.

Steve Kershaw/Rhys Gibbons took dominant Sidecar race victories x4, TT 2025 podium finishers times two, Oliver’s Mount ‘King Pins’ Lee Crawford/Scott Hardie, placed second in the opening Scottish Championship, KMSC races.

Three times TT victor Patrick Farrance/Connor Parkin finished runners-up x2 to Kershaw/Gibbons.

Twice TT winner John Holden set to make his Mountain Course competition return in May, joined by Phil Hyde, acquired a duplex of third place finishes.
