Upper Hutt’s Rogan Chandler is the 2026 Star Insure New Zealand Superbike Champion.
Chandler, as previously reported, the third speediest Southern Hemisphere ‘Isle of Man’ pilot of 2025, wrapped up the NZ SBK title in top draw style, winning two of this weekend’s big bike contests, at Taupo Motorsport Park (MotoMania event).
The Dentists BMW apparated Luca Durning, edged M1 Motorsport’s Chandler for SBK race three honours, winning by 0.328 of a second.
A touch over half a second further back, was 2020 Champion Alastair Hoogenboezem.
NZ street racing/purpose-built circuit racing veteran Dennis Charlett, joined his son Hunter Charlett (Supersport 300 & Supersport 150 Champion) in securing a class title, via Pro Twin category glory.
Jesse Stroud won the Damon Rees Memorial Trophy Supersport race, Zak Fuller sealed the Sportbike title whilst added reputable street racing exponents, ending seasons efficiently included Ashton Hughes, Seth Devereux and the first solo female Cemetery Circuit Races winner in history, Harriet Grace (P4 x2 – P5 – Supersport 300 races).
