With neither the F1, Senior races taking place, the fastest race laps of this year’s Classic TT were set within Wednesday night’s two-lap Lightweight contest.
Race winner, claiming Mountain Course race victory number forty-two, Michael Dunlop registered on the second, final lap the quickest lap-speed (115.285).
Laylaw Racing’s Adam McLean (113.478), Laycock Racing’s Ian Lougher (113.113) popped in 113 mph laps whilst three riders were in the 112’s, Stuart Hall (112.987), Dan Sayle (112.718) and Michael Sweeney (112.217).
Just two more racers lapped 110 plus, Rhys Hardisty (111.612) and Michael Browne (110.737) whose race came to a finalisation at Brandywell, crashing out, emerging without injury.
Fastest 400cc mounted competitor was Dave Leach Trophy winner for finishing first 400 home, Craig Neve (109.14).
