2025 Classic TT Chat: Czech TT Super Twins Winner Michal Dokoupil

2025 Classic TT Chat: Czech TT Super Twins Winner Michal Dokoupil

Yesterday whilst sat outside the press office, Road Racing News was fortunate to attain Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil’s thoughts on a range of topics.

Firstly, pending two stroke action aboard the Cookson Travel TZ250 Yamaha.

“They can do well and then sometimes they just go completely wrong, so I hope it’s going to be fine.”

Earlier this month the 2015 Irish Road Race Lightweight 400/450 Championship runner-up, starred in the European Super Twin races at the Horice ‘Czech TT’, winning the second category encounter after almost beating five times IRRC Supersport Champion Marek Cerveny, to opening class honours.

Chatting about this, ‘Indi’ who was aboard the same RS660 Aprilia, he took in June to a joint personal best TT finish of ninth, said:

“I came to Horice, I know I can win it, even against Cerveny (Marek). In the first race, because we ventured down to the town section after the start, to late on the brakes, lost five seconds, then I was trying to catch him for five laps, completely tired me up, got close to him but not close enough.”

Our conversation then moved onto, discussing the recent faultless Isle of Man weather!

“Finally! because last year terrible, this year’s TT even more terrible, so this is a gift from the gods.”

When asked how TT 2026 plans are shaping up, the multiple Ulster Grand Prix race winner disclosed:

“We try to bring the Supersport but now am dealing with CF Moto with the 675 because we have been doing some racing-development on their bike for two years. We are trying to bring their bike for the Supersport class, but we still have not enough what we need so either I bring the 600 which is standard or the CF Moto which will be better.

But the main concern is the twin because we are going to build another same spec Super Twin, so we are going to have two bikes, focus on that.

We have got better base, not only a van but we have got a semi-truck, like a small truck, so we are going to have some decent stuff for next year, I’ve only got this because of the results at the TT this year because the guy who brought me the bike, said if you do the results I will give you more and he knows I can do it here.”
