* Thirty riders post last evening’s Royal London 360 Superstock race, have now achieved membership into the 130 Mph Club.
* Second, third place finishers from the Metzeler Super Twins race, Michael Evans and Rob Hodson, are the 717th, 718th TT podium finishers.
* Dean Harrison (33 rostrums) is now fifth on the all-time TT podium finishers list.
* Post his hugely popular Superstock Race 1 triumph, the ebullient rider stated how much it means to become a four-times TT winner.
“I’ve been third, I’ve been second so now I’ve got a 3-2-1! And to get another TT win is just magic.
Honestly, I can’t thank the team enough. We’ve worked hard all week, and we’ve been up and been down and we’ve tried all sorts, so paying them back with a win is just fantastic.
Honestly, them lot being happy makes me happy. I can’t thank them enough. It’s been a long time coming and now I’m a four-time TT winner, which is a big thing for me.”
* Harrison’s victory marked the end of BMW’s unbeaten run, in the stock 1000 category, which stretched back to 2016.
* John McGuinness MBE ushered huge praise on his Honda Racing UK, team-mate.
“I always knew that he could do it, but that was incredible pace. When he passed me on Lap 1, he was in another universe, and I’ve been around here a lot, so I was just like: ‘Go on, Dean, get stuck in!’
There are two sides to the job, really, to be slightly disappointed with my result but over the moon for Dean and for Honda.”
* During qualifying week, I asked Jim Hind, was there any reason for the Castrol Honda themed livery, on his 1000cc races, steed. His succinct answer was:
“Nothing to do with me, it’s just me boss, he likes doing different colour schemes, just done something retro, something different.”
* Wishing Veronika Hankocyova, a swift and speedy recovery, following an incident in last night’s Super Twins race.
* 1986, 1987 British Touring Car Champion Chris Hodgetts, was spotted last week in the TT paddock.
