8TEN Racing Retain BMW Motorrad Official Team Status

Peter Hickman, Davey Todd’s 8TEN Racing team, have retained BMW Motorrad’s factory support (official international roads team) for 2026 Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, TT Races ventures.

Seventeen times TT victors combined Hickman and Todd, will be actively looking to further enforce their status as roads scene ‘Aliens’ in 2026, astride BMW’s formidable M1000RR in Superstock and Superbike configuration.

Ending widespread speculation, the 1-2 finishers from last month’s Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, 2026 international road racing projects are to be supplemented by a full-scale British Superbike Championship campaign.

News Reaction:

2025 King of The Roads Champion, Davey Todd:

“It was a great first season for 8TEN Racing! With the team coming together so late and Pete getting injured, unfortunately, it wasn’t without its ups and downs but all round the team did a great job and I’m super proud of everybody involved in the team for the work they put in to make it happen.

Everything we’ve done this year will stand us in good stead for 2026 especially as we already have a full winter testing programme planned.

The roads have been great, taking wins at the NW200, TT, Southern 100 and Macau GP and we couldn’t have asked for much more really – our reliability record was faultless!

BSB was more challenging for us, especially with not having my teammate for most of the year sadly, but we’re really working hard to move forward and be much more competitive in 2026.

I can’t wait to be back trackside with all the 8TEN Racing team soon and we’re only going to be stronger in 2026.”

TT Races, Ulster Grand Prix lap record holder, Peter Hickman:

“I’m really excited about 2026! 2025 was a complete rush for us, especially at the start of the season, but I showed a lot of promise straightaway almost doing a PB at Oulton Park and then equalling my PB at Donington Park despite never having sat on the bike prior to round one.

That gave us plenty to build on but I obviously ended up injuring myself quite heavily at the TT, which was a real shame, for many different reasons of course, as I felt the best I’d felt in a long time on a Superbike during practice week.

The team worked superbly all season and whilst BSB in particular, is obviously really- hard, I’m really looking forward to having a good crack in 2026 with a lot of testing on the bike before we even get to the first round.

My fitness is getting better all the time so it’s great to have the support of BMW again and being the official team for BSB, the Northwest 200 and Isle of Man TT is obviously perfect for us.”
