Last week’s Briggs Equipment Northwest 200 yielded a range of positive results for the Chawke brothers, James and Liam.
Individually aboard Lyonara Cold Stores/Chawkie Racing BMW, TH Racing Honda, Chawkie Racing Supporters Club Suzuki/Kawasaki apparatus, they recorded between them four top 20 finishes, five top 25 finishes, nine top 35 finishes.
Both gaining hefty amounts of track-time, their respective best race-results starting with 2018 Junior Manx Grand Prix James, were 18th x3 in second Superstock, opening Superbike contests.
Liam, the 2018 Irish Road Race Junior Support & Senior Support Championship runner-up, top finish was from the Tides Restaurant Supersport encounter, placing 24th, second in terms of Kawasaki powered riders.
Leaving with a new personal best NW200 lap speed of 110.982 mph, he’s already focusing on 2025 NW200 explorations, setting sights on improved pace, race-craft, finishes.
It’s similar notions for elder-brother James, whose next roads scene adventure, sees him back tackling the fabled, mythical Mountain Course.
As at the NW200, his four-stroke races steeds are the TH Racing Honda and Lyonara Cold Stores/Chawkie Racing BMW.
