Of a similar essence to the Prize of Krizevci, the Nora Race (street-circuit – 0.466 miles, 750 metres long), based at Nova Raca in Croatia hosted its’ 26th event edition last week.
The competition schedule contained yesteryear classic, Supermoto, scooters, Sport Production 125/Supersport 300 race spurts.
Vilim Babic, young rider from Krizevci, was 125cc race winner, the same class he triumphed in last month at this hometown (Prize of Krizevci). Supersport 300 winner was, single participant in this category Franjo Pucek, who also set the fastest lap of this race (33.965).
When speaking about Croatian bike racers, one from a roads’ scene perspective, cannot but first pinpoint Loris Majcan, helping raise the popularity of real road racing in his home nation, thanks to his TT racing exploits. He has a clear target – will be back on Manx shores for TT 2026!
Karlo Grsic and Teo Sekulic, young rising Croatian road racing stars, were at the same time, participating at Automotodrom Brno in the Czech Republic, tackling the third round of this year’s Alpe Adria Championship, alongside additional well-known names in road racing circles, including:
Next generation Austrian rider Alexander Kastenhuber (Supersport/Moto 2 race winner of 2025 Landshaag and Julbach Hill Climb), Michal Prasek (last year an IRRC Supersport wildcard at Frohburger Dreieck and 2019, 2021 Dymokury Superbike races winner).
Horice experienced Karel Pesek, Jiri Broz (three-times 300 Curves of Gustav Havel race winner and Dakar Rally 2025 finisher), Radek Lamich (twelve times race winner at Horice), Michal Filla (2010 Superbike race podium finisher as newcomer to Horice in 2010).
Plus, Dymokury debutant last year, female rider Anna Malinova, the teammate of TT 2025 competitor Veronika Hankocyova (get well soon Veronika!) in the Wonder Women Racing Team and Frohburger Dreieck experienced, German racer Filip Kukic.
The fourth round of the 2025 Alpe Adria Championship will be in Croatia at the Automotodrom Grobnik (8th-10th August), co-in siding with the Czech TT/IRRC Round 4 in Horice.
Croatian street racing wise, an upcoming event next month after last year’s premiere, is the Prize of Zelina in Sveti Ivan Zelina (31st August), which runs 600cc/1000cc races.
