The top draw conditions which greeted Super Twin, Supersport Manx Grand Prix participants, continued in earnest as afternoon Classic TT qualifying got underway.
Setting the quickest standing start lap-speed, to date of qualifying week, Nathan Harrison (Greenall Racing Kawasaki) surged to the helm of the F1 Classic leader board.
Harrison, Junior, Senior Manx GP winner in 2019, was 6.239 seconds quicker than Greenall Racing team-mate Jamie Coward (125.879).
Dominic Herbertson (Team BHR – 124.943), Ian Hutchinson (Steadplan Kawasaki – 124.762) were next up on the times sheet followed by TT wins record holder Michael Dunlop and the rotary Wiz Norton (123.505).
‘Maverick’ additionally set the Lightweight class pace (116.309), lapping marginally slower than his best speed from Friday afternoon.
Stuart Hall (114.89), Michael Sweeney (112.8) both looked in decent fettle as did top 400cc rider, Immingham’s Craig Neve (111.673).
Following Historic Senior, Historic Junior Q4 bursts saw both Michael Browne (Peter Lodge Norton – 20 minutes 02.185 seconds – 112.984), John McGuinness MBE (Team Winfield Paton – 20 minutes 10.065 seconds – 112.248 mph), turn the wick up, registering the fastest Historic Senior qualifying lap times thus far.
Davies Motorsport’s Paul Jordan (102.962) bested Historic Junior Classic qualifying leader Michael Evans (101.619) to top today’s category thrills.
