McCoy, Hodson aren’t the only ones tipped to thrill this week. Team ILR with Frog Vehicle Developments have the dynamic duo of Jacque Foley and Oliver’s Mount wins record holder, Lightweight Manx Grand Prix winner earlier this month, Ian Lougher.
The evergreen Lougher as shown on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, hasn’t lost the speed, competitiveness, thinking rider qualities that have taken him to endless huge moments in a storied over forty years real road racing career.
County Clare’s Foley meanwhile is one of Ireland’s most improved roads exponents. Like his esteemed team-mate, he’s aboard redoubtable Paton apparatus.
Back at Olivers’ for the first-time since the 2022 Gold Cup, Skerries Michael Sweeney (RS 660 Aprilia) is another considered a front-running threat.
