• Senior Manx Grand Prix runner-up Marcus Simpson will be astride YZF R6 Yamaha machinery for Saturday, Sunday’s Supersport action. At TT 2024, Simpson will revert to 765 Triumph tackle, which will carry the 37-plate.
• Kevin Barsby’s race number 56 echoes the number of letters in his name, five for his forename, six for his surname!
• Post Spring Cup competition, Barsby is planning to tackle the Irish roads season opener at Cookstown.
• No Limits Racing front-runner Russell Brook is a non-starter.
• Joey Thompson’s nonappearance means we are guaranteed a third successive different Bob Smith Spring Cup Champion.
• It’s forty years since Barry Sheene’s fourth and final Gold Cup victory. The twice World Champion had a special affinity with Oliver’s Mount.
• Ian Stanford’s trusty RS 250 Honda, sports again a striking orange, black livery. Stanford is set to return to IOM shores in August, for the Manx Grand Prix.
• Mistral Racing have a two rider presence this weekend, courtesy of Joe Yeardsley and Mike Bampton.
