Absent for three years from the Macau Grand Prix schedule, bike racing makes its’ much anticipated return next week to the incomparable Guia Circuit.
Various notable racers have elected not to enter including Michael Rutter, Peter Hickman, John McGuinness MBE, Ian Hutchinson, Dean Harrison and David Johnson.
Overall, no previous event podium finishers, race winners are amongst the 13 plus entry list.
The bulk of the entrants for the upcoming eight-lap race stints are Guia Circuit newcomers including prospective history maker, Nadieh Schoots.
Speaking last month, Rebel Racing’s Schoots stated about becoming the first female bike racer at Asia’s top pure road race.
“I’ve dreamed of racing the Macau GP ever since meeting Dutch road racer Branko Srdanov in 2012, when we both competed in IDM (Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeisterschaft).
Actually, at the time I did not believe it was something I could or would ever do, I simply thought it was the coolest race I’d ever seen.
Yet a decade and a lot of blood, sweat and tears later, here we are. Not only do I make my own debut, I’ll be the first woman to ever race a motorcycle at Macau. I’m incredibly excited and hope to inspire more women to follow in my footsteps!”

Speaking via his Facebook page, the genial German racer known to many as ‘Datzii’, stated:
