Spring Cup Preview Series – Part 5 – Sidecars

I’ve often stated that there is something different, unique, unparalleled about Sidecar action at Oliver’s Mount.

The spectacular nature of outfit’s going through Jefferies Jumps, viewing up close the driver/passenger’s talents, it’s an absolute must for roads fans to witness the three-wheeling fraternity at England’s only real roads circuit.

Nine crews are set to sample the following week’s Stuart Whitehead F2 Sidecar races.

Current three wheeling Scarborough yardstick Lee Crawford, is due to link up with long time Team A.R.C outfit co-pilot, Scott Hardie.

For this year’s Spring Cup, it’s LCR (Louis Christen Racing) Kawasaki tackle for Crawford/Hardie, who will be looking to intensify their already first-rate circuit wins total, with the pair between them to date, pocketing 42 race successes.

2023 overall Oliver’s Mount Sidecar Champions Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden, join English/Scottish pairing in pursuing one prime, major goal, P1, P1, P1!

Seventeen times TT winner Dave Molyneux (Kel Properties – DMR Kawasaki), competing next weekend alongside new sidekick Jake Roberts, illustrated during last year’s Barry Sheene Classic, that the drive, grit, competitive factor remains in bucket loads in pursuit of more road’s scene victories.

Further potential front running crews include Carl Fenwick/Phil Knapton (CR Fenwick Commercials Ltd), the Chandler’s Shaun & Ben (White Rose Racing), the Anglo/Irish unit of Bruce Moore/Mark Gash.

Finalising the F2 Sidecars field are David Marshal/Tony Pitt, John Shipley/Diarmuid Mac Reamoinn and Chris Schofield/Tom Dawkins (Rack Storage UK).
